The contents of the instructional handouts on this site were created by members of the MInuteman High School Digital Learning Curators (DLC) team and Geek Out student specialists.
Today's Class is an interactive online learning system for secondary schools, career centers, and technical colleges. They offer comprehensive courses in a variety of disciplines including agriscience, automotive, cosmetology, and health sciences. A free trial is available for instructors through May 1, 2020. Instructors will have access to the learning management system and can enroll students in courses, assign quizzes/tests, and monitor student activity. Interactive content at Today's Class includes engaging exercises, step-by-step video demonstrations, and dynamic animations. Students can log in on any device to access course materials.
Practical Money Skills High schoolers learn about relevant financial skills like managing salary, buying a car and avoiding debt. Practical Money Skills offers PDF versions of student activities and teacher instruction guides.
American Association of School Libraries: Best Digital Tools for Teaching & Learning These apps and websites for Teaching & Learning foster the qualities of innovation, creativity, active participation, and collaboration. Sites recognized are free web-based sites that are user friendly and encourage a community of learners to explore and discover.
BrainPOP BrainPop is a group of educational websites with over 1,000 short animated movies for students in grades K-12, together with quizzes and related materials, covering the subjects of science, social studies, English, math, engineering and technology, health, and arts and music. During this time of school closures, BrainPop is providing free access for schools. At www.brainpop.com, select LOG IN, and log in with Minuteman's username and password (you must be signed in to your Minuteman Office 365 account in order to access this passwords document).

Khan Academy Free online courses and video lectures for students on a variety of subjects
Newsela A database of articles, indexed by subject and theme that can be accessed in different formats by reading level. Free for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.
NY Times Learning Network Materials for teaching and learning using New Yok Times content. Every weekday they offer new educational resources based on the articles, photographs, videos, illustrations, podcasts and graphics published in The New York Times – all for free.
Ted-Ed Features a library of original animated videos and an international platform for teachers to create their own interactive lessons.
WGBH Distance Learning Center Designed for families and educators, the WGBH Distance Learning Center portal has curated resources by grade and subject for use by students in remote learning situations, allowing them to self-pace and self-monitor their learning.
