Senior Project Options

  • Senior Project Option 1: Product / Project & Presentation: Present a PowerPoint presentation explaining your project / product connected to your research findings and skills learned.
  • Senior Project Option 2: Conduct a tangible demonstration of your CTE technical skills with a process paper.
  • Senior Project Option 3: Co-op & Presentation: Present a PowerPoint presentation sharing highlights of your co-op experience and your research findings on a topic that relates to your co-op experience.

OPTIONS 1 & 3: LAYOUT OF SENIOR PROJECT POWERPOINT PRESENTATION

Sample Template for Senior Project PowerPoint (Use or set-up your own. Follow the general layout but adjust the slides to suit your project.)

Introduction:

  • Title Page (product/project (Option 1)/topic/co-op (Option 2) title, student name, CTE area, date).
  • Introduce yourself and your senior project.
  • Agenda slide (list of what you will be speaking about).
  • State research and supporting questions.

Body:

  • Explain support material in an organized way.
  • Speak about your product/project and research (option 1) or co-op related research topic (option 2 co-op)

Closing:

  • Summarize information presented.
  • Reveal future plans.
  • Include a Works Cited page.
  • Include a thank you page.

OPTIONS 1 & 3: PRESENTATION REQUIREMENTS

OPTION 3: PROCESS PAPER & DEMONSTRATION

Process Paper Instructions: Write a 3-page (minimum) paper describing the process and research used from start to finish. The paper must include a research component and correctly formatted citations. Copies of the process paper are to be delivered to the judges.
